I dragged my indoor self out with my son to walk on the inspiring Naperville Riverwalk a week ago. Years (and years and years) ago, a guy I was dating took me there for a "romantic" stroll....I just wasn't into it (or him since he was a nice guy and I had a thing for the jerks, but that's a story for another time). I moved to the area years later with my then husband and my babies, and I finally got it. It's a beautiful spot of nature in the middle of a (great) city. There's a beach, walking trails, covered bridges, the river, paddleboats, sculptures, fountains and lots of shady spots to sit and read or people watch. I always feel like I'm on vacation when I'm there. Last year, I took my sister there and now she gets it, too.
...I vow to spend more time there this summer....
I can see why you want to spend time there! Beautiful! Thanks for sharing these pictures!
ReplyDeleteHow fun, Cind!!! I love the pictures (I see a special scrapbook coming up very soon for this Mom and Son day!) Really love them all!!!
ReplyDeletehey do you read comments on older posts? I hope so. I found your blog through a friend on FB. I noticed some very familiar scenes like St. Rays.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you've been to Lisle (hence my blog name).
Was Dick Tracy up on the riverwalk when you went? I know they just finished him this year.
Here's some pictures I took of him
